Auckland Asylum

So named was this grand Victorian edifice originally. A half day's walk from the centre of Auckland. No longer functioning as a hospital; that ceased thirty years ago. It is now part of a tertiary education campus.

I was involved in hearings under the Mental Health Act this morning. Poor programming meant that I had three quarters of an hour between the first and second hearing. I used it for a walk, and also getting a coffee.

This evening our small peer review group met at Lokanta, a Grey Lynn restaurant.
