Wintry view of the garden

Last night the temperature dropped to -7C and it only got to -3C today.
 
Our local hardware store didn’t get a delivery of salt today. Apparently it needs a bigger lorry.
So it will arrive tomorrow.  Have ordered two bags. According to the weather forecast this cold spell will last at least until early next week and who knows what January will bring?
 
Have started feeding the birds. Today I saw robins, chaffinches, blackbirds, a nuthatch and one grey squirrel.
I keep filling up their water bowl as it freezes..
