Sunny Interval

This photo was taken during a brief sunny interval this morning. It may also have been the last sunny interval of the day.

Today I had lunch at the Dutch Mill. A rare treat, steak pie and my share of a bottle of wine. While we were in the pub there was a reasonably heavy snow shower. When I came out there was a thin layer of snow on the ground.

A very cold day; the temperature at about 7 am was -10º, and the high for the day must have been around freezing. By the morning the afternoon's snow shower will probably have turned to ice.
