Snowy Day

As I was going to bed last night I noticed it was snowing. This morning I woke to a black and white scene.

I offered to ferry friends who were going out to lunch. I thought my car would cope with the weather conditions better than theirs. As a result I found myself invited to lunch at the Atholl hotel. Very nice!

Around lunchtime there was a heavy snowfall which caught out the council. Almost immediately the snow lay on the roads and pavements. By the time we left the restaurant the snow ploughs and gritters had been out. Off the main roads there was still a lot of slushy snow.

There was some sunshine in the early afternoon. The warmest temperature I noticed was -2º.
