Miracle of Medicine

A very old friend , Leslie, called this afternoon and proudly showed me the hole in his arm.

The last time I saw him, a couple of weeks ago, he had resigned himself to early retirement and life as a semi invalid, so convinced was he that he was about to die of heart disease.


Now thanks to one of the miracles of medicine, a stent to widen his artery, he is back to normal and working again.

"I was awake. I felt hardly anything and I came home again a few hours later," says Leslie.

The hole is where they inserted the tube up his arm and across into his heart.
