Chilly?

It took me over 20 minutes to clear the ice off the car windows (there was nearly as much on the inside as the outside). 
I didn't bother with the ice crystals on the roof - apart from where they were preventing the tailgate from opening.
I had to get into the rear of the car via the tailgate to open the rear doors - if I had tried to do it by pulling the handles on the outside they would have come off.
It was -9C when I set off for my meal deliveries.
By the time I had finished it had warmed up to a balmy -3C ... and stayed there until the sun went down.

SWMBO had doctor's appointment this afternoon to get the results of her blood tests.
After a 40 minute wait she was taken.
The Diabetes is back ........
Steps will be taken to reverse that! (not the best time of year to do it though).


When we got home I thought I should 'open' the ice on the pond for the birds.
I have a long walking stick like an overgrown shillelagh with a metal spike on the bottom. 
That didn't work! 
I resorted to an axe.
I hadn't opened the water yesterday, but I certainly hadn't expected the ice to reach the thickness it had.
I took a chunk of it in to measure it .... and take pictures of it. They are over Here.
