I Don't Believe It!

An askant look!!! What the.......? Where have all the nuts gone?

Well ..it was an eye-poppingly awful and obviously astonishing moment as the nuthatch had taken the very last peanut! The early bird catches the worm and in this case it did get the nuts while the little squirrel was far too late out of bed to catch a decent breakfast. He just stared at the empty feeder, made really sure by giving it a couple of circuits, went onto the floor quickly to check out the rejects and cleared off.

We on the other hand seeing the dire weather forecast, had decided to make an early start taking advantage of the small window of sunshine before the ghastly rain and wind hit. As I'm typing this, it is battering the house and the dogs won't under any circumstances be winkled out of their warm cosy nests!....... and we have people coming round for a BBQ which has meant a quick re-think of the menu somewhat! Am drawing the line at cooking on coals under a brolly!
