Snow day - just!

It snowed during the night, and we had another brief flurry this morning, which I captured from the back doorstep. The temperature crept above freezing and the snow was soon gone, leaving behind a raw, sullenly grey day - ideal for report writing.

Pete and I had a mid-morning trip to check Chris's house, which was cold but with no apparent problems.  We dropped into Sainsbury's on our way home and bought four plates that tone well with our existing ones so that we can produce eight unchipped plates for Christmas Day!

Ben came over in the afternoon and made a start on my accounts - it's the first time for a while that we've started them before Christmas - although I'm fairly sure we won't manage to finish them before the big day!
