Day 7 in the hospital
We had a peaceful night in the hospital, but didn’t sleep well on the uncomfortable chairs. Mum slept right through the night and this morning.
Mr MacD went out as soon as the doors opened to get us some breakfast and returned with and almond croissant each and a nice cup of coffee. Delicious!
Brother and sister arrived just after 10am and we waited for the doctors to come check Mum out. When they arrived Mum was deeply asleep and they could see that there was a marked changed to how she’d been on Friday. At this stage there is nothing they can do and it’s a case of waiting to see how nature takes its course.
Brother and sister had gone out to have something to eat before we left for the evening and we could suddenly hear music. Closer investigation revealed a choir singing Christmas carols just around the corner from Mum’s room. They sang beautifully and we thought it was a really nice thing for them to do. Eventually they moved closer to Mum’s room, so I hope she heard them in her sleep as she would have enjoyed the music very much.
