Cold up top

A lazy morning today involving staying bed far longer than normal, mostly because it was the warmest place to be.

Eva and I headed up to the Mynd for a run and it was as delightful as we’d anticipated. It started snowing a little on the way up and the Mynd was looking glorious. It was cold up top though and we ran mostly in silence to preserve energy to stay warm. We managed a very hilly 12 miles in the end and that was about all we could manage.

Got home and was just about to get in a hot shower when it become quickly evident that it wasn’t getting hot! Why do boilers always break on the coldest of days? Before I called a neighbour to beg a shower, I remembered a trick that the boiler service man had showed me to restore the pressure and thankfully it worked. Rejoice!

Dinner with Big Romy and Little Romy tonight before watching the football.
