Heavy Metal Bench

We drove up to Birmingham this morning as we’ve got tickets to see Rod Stewart here tomorrow as part of Tess’s birthday celebrations (she’s a big fan!)

We’re staying on Broad Street so this afternoon we strolled around the canal area close to the hotel where this bench and the bridge it sits on commemorate Black Sabbath, the Birmingham heavy metal band. Thought a touch of black and white editing seemed appropriate.

We walked on into the centre of the city to wander around the Christmas market which was very festive. We needed a gin based gluhwein to combat the freezing temperatures.

This evening we ventured back out for a meal at a local Wagamama’s.
