Postcard from Oxford
On the way to Essex for a few days. Staying with mum and going to see the Pompeii exhibition at the British Museum. Really excited. Have been obsessed by Pompeii and volcanos since my grandad gave me some photo's he got in the war when he was stationed out there. I have kept them for over 40 years. Hoarder? Me?
So as usual on my way to Essex texted Amy in Oxford to see if she had a few minutes to spare. It was lovely and sunny. We had a sandwich at a cafe and sat outside before going in to Java for a coffee to get our strength up for shopping. Oxford is just blipping heaven. So many things to see. This building is near the Post Office. We went to post a good luck card to Ellie my youngest who starts her GCSE's on Monday with Biology. Her dad is a biology teacher so hopefully me being away for a few days won't be noticed. After two hours parking in central Oxford ( which cost more than lunch) I went off to Essex.
Traffic was ok all the way- even on the M25 . Now blipping with a G and T.
