Abyss

I know before long there will be nothing but white. For now at least I can enjoy this halfway time where the ice sculptures form and dissipate daily. This image is looking straight down onto the edge of the ice where it overlaps the dark water of the lake. I assume the frilly bits along the edge are created by the gentle lapping slowly melting the ice. I wonder, did I make the dark area large enough?
