Looking South to Edinburgh
I really didn’t want to be posting this, but had hoped to post a shot of a cosy log fire in the village pub, but it turns out they don’t light the fire mid-week because it’s so quiet. Bummer!
It’s beeen a busy day. We walked the coastal path this morning and gathered some more pebbles for rock painting, then I left Geordie at home and walked along to Janice’s in time for the auction people coming to uplift the stuff to sell. Once they had finished at Janice’s we went to her sister’s house to meet the auction men there, and organise the uplift of the furniture, paintings etc form there. Once that was done we walked up to the high street and had a cuppa in theTower Cafe. Then it was back to Janice’s for further discussions on furniture and the sale of the house.
Then it was time to walk to the school and pick up Hannah and Maggie, then make our way home. We weren’t long home when Suzy arrived after a tough day at work. We played games with the girls for a while until they left for home.
This evening my friend, Wendy, and went to the village pub for the first time in over a year, expecting a lovely log fire, but alas it wasn’t to be, so we kept out coats on, minus our gloves which one established customer recommended we didn’t remove. (He didn’t realise we were made of tougher stuff)! It turned out to be a fine evening. It was fairly quiet, but good conversation, and lots of laughter passed the time.
Geordie, of course, was over the moon when I got home. I think it’s been a very long time since he’s been left home alone on an evening.
