Army Surplus

Rain today which is not unwelcome but it didn't have to be quite so much and the temperature is dropping for the next few days. Sorry for the rain drop on lens!
When Angie bought her first horse "Nero" in 1988, she commandeered a German Army rain poncho from her then boyfriend, Lucky, from his national service days (officially still in force but suspended since 2011). The poncho is still going strong and is ideal for riding as it covers the rider & the saddle. It's quite heavy being made of a rubber/latex material rather than plastic and so sits well when windy and makes little noise.
