Hover fly on daisy

Today I spent way too much time being patient, waiting for the cabbage white butterfly to stop flitting about. They are nothing if not white with a bit of black on them and would have been perfect for the tiny Tuesday sub theme. Alas they were determined to do their own thing. It's good if one can catch them having a kip, but 'tis the season to be merry, after all.

Instead I found a hover fly with pretty iridescent wings being still on the seaside daisy. The fly has black stripes. The daisy has white petals.
