Thai basil

Thai rhymes with pie. By now the leaves have been picked and they are soon to grace a stir fry (also rhymes with pie).

We have some Thai basil growing but as yet it's not big enough to harvest so I bought this bunch, looking rather limp, and tried to refresh it in a vase of water. The vase is a Beswick which I found in an antique shop in Bermagui where we stayed on our last pre lockdown driving holiday. One of these days the vase will feature in a colour blip.
