For Love of Family
What a difference a day makes. Or I should say, a little sunshine. Being on central time, we gained an extra hour yesterday so we were wide awake before 5:00 am. We took our time getting ready, eating breakfast and packing. The rain started a few minutes after we put on our seat belts. It rained, very hard at times, for hours. Visibility was terrible. We traveled a little further in Kentucky, through the central part of Tennessee, north to south through Alabama, though not in a straight line which increased the distance. We are almost to Mississippi. Thankfully, hubby’s sister lives less than 20 miles from the border. The drive and scenery just did not provide the enjoyment or photo ops we had yesterday. So, you get a representation of why hubby has driven almost 900 miles to be with his sister; that’s what families do for love. This is the trademark for Love’s, one of the most reasonably priced gas stations along the Interstate. His sister from Virginia has texted to say we’ll all go to dinner when we arrive. We’ll check in at the hotel first. Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe and healthy. Hoping your day was brighter than ours. At least hubby had a traveling companion to keep him awake. “Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” – Anthony Bourdain
