lost in the sauce

Had a very domestic day. We dropped my truck off at the repair shop (the 4wd isn’t working and I live on the side of a snowy mountain so you can imagine how fun that drive was), did some quick grocery/holiday shopping and then came home and did some chores. I made vegetarian “meat”balls and pasta for dinner which Dory was very obviously intrigued by.
I grew up in a very Italian area of NY (shocking I know) and a lot of my friends’ families would make big Italian feasts on Sunday evenings. “Sunday Sauce” is a thing back home and although I’m not Italian and this was definitely no feast, it’s still fun to bring a little bit of my old home into my new one.
