War Memorial

To the memory of the men who came to train with 58th Operational Training Unit at Grangemouth in the early 1940s. They learned to fly Spitfires here and far too many died far too young. An accompanying memorial stone records the names of those heros from many lands who never came home.
This memorial was just unveiled yesterday and is an accurate 12 inch to the foot scale model of the classic Mk 1a Spitfire.
