All the fun of the fair

The fair is still in town. Last weekend the commune, in conjunction with the Maire and his deputies, paid for a free afternoon of rides for the children. In the morning, I walked up through the woods in the sunshine. I took it slowly as my chest is still sore and the cough is troublesome. In the afternoon, I finished my book, The Outcast, which I had originally seen on the television but I was glad that did not put me off reading it
