Friends

After breakfast we whizzed off to the Parnell Farmer’s Market and did a quick shop of the items we needed.  Back home and I had washing to hang out quickly before setting off to meet a friend.  MrMacD had a few minutes to spare before catching the bus to the Maritime Museum.

Our friend is walking the Routeburn Track next week, so I showed her how to use the poles properly and passed on the tips our guide gave us.  That done her husband joined us and we walked down the hill to Mission Bay to have a coffee.  We spent an enjoyable hour drinking coffee and chatting, then walked across to Mission Bay beach.  It was a lovely sunny morning and so good to be by the water in the sunshine.

We walked back up the hill to their apartment, then A and I stood and chatted some more before I headed back home to finish a spreadsheet I’ve been working on and set up our Christmas Card List for this year.  There was also washing to bring in and fold, the bathroom to clean and a garment to iron.

MrMacD had three sailings with the Maritime Museum today, so was late getting home.  He sat and relaxed for an hour then we went over to have a drink with Mum and spend some time with her.
