Traffic Light System

After 107 days in lockdown, Auckland has now entered the traffic light system, at Red, which gives us more freedom than at Level 3 of the old alert system. We can now sit in a restaurant and enjoy a meal.  Oh joy!

Another day without a walk or a cycle ride because we both had lots of things to do and suddenly it was 4:30pm and we’d promised to cook supper for Mum. It’s been very hot and humid.

The retirement village where Mum lives has lovely gardens, and the blip is of one garden area at the corner of the road that leads to Mum’s villa. It provides a lovely, cheerful greeting as you drive in.

There are 92 new community cases today, the first time since 28 October that daily cases have been below 100. Of today’s cases, 80 are in Auckland,  1 in Northland, 2 in the Waikato, 5 in the Bay of Plenty, 1 in the Lakes area, 2 in Taranaki and 1 in the Nelson-Tasman area.
