Civic Centre

After some early morning Fog on the Tyne, which many people had requested (well, OK, mist) we set-off to explore the City. First, the Laing Art Gallery, where there was an exhibition of the Lindisfarne Gospels.  Thence to the terrific modernist complex of the Newcastle Civic Centre. 

Across the road is the Newcastle University campus and near there Leazes Park, which adjoins Newcastle United FC's St James's Park. Later, some more wandering along the quayside, with views across to the Sage where, this evening, we enjoyed a concert by the Hallé orchestra.

Oh, I see, another Blipping milestone, only two weeks after the last one. Cheers everyone.
