Colchester

A day off today but full of action. Firstly I had to do the repeat-redial on the dot of 8am to ‘win’ a doctor phone appointment and sort out a prescription that had run out.
Then I had to pack, shower and dress in about 5 minutes to drop my car to the BMW garage at 9am for a recall. Then a walk into colchester to meet a dressmaker who is going to re-line my husband’s Harris Tweed jacket. Then still with hours to kill a lengthy wander around town in which I most enjoyed visiting blipper @madhatter’s Christmas Window. This was my favourite Christmas hat.

Needless to say the garage did a complimentary inspection for money making opportunities and identified the immediate need to replace a damaged tyre (I agree it is seriously dangerous- yet another pothole!). And an alleged need to spend £1750 on a pair of shock absorbers(I don’t think so!!).

I also at least started Christmas shopping, which I hate, with a present for my mum. And spent more money on things for myself since it’s a while since I’ve been to town…

Now off to a country pub for the weekend! Yay!
