Grey Heron

Just when I thought the young one could do nothing to shock me.....
I was waiting at the traffic lights for the green man to come on so I could cross over to the loch, I turned and saw the young one landing right next to me at the crossing. I really could not believe it - it is a busy road and people at the bus stop opposite were obviously stunned. I crossed on the green man looked over to the young one and nodded towards the park. At that she flew over and landed in the park. I gave her the fish I had for her and she took off to the water. I followed on and fed her some extra fish then moved on to the male.
