Yes, this is the day's big news. Not the news that the Deanosaur has lost his job - that was as predictable as one of his starting line-ups - but the fact that as far as the papers are concerned, it's a "shock". I'm not sure how they assess managerial performances on that sports desk, but bearing a vague resemblance to Bruce Springsteen and giving post-match interviews that sound like North Korean state press releases ("we deserved to win that match; we should have been 10-0 up by half-time") must warrant some very high regard.

In the meantime, Wolves are on the hunt for their fifth manager in fifteen months. Word is that they're thinking outside the box and searching for a coach whose CV doesn't scream "hapless fuckwit". Now that genuinely is a shock.
