Oak and Ash

A sunny morning, dew coating all the plants in the garden, particularly the Spiraea whose leaves are at last turning deep crimson (see extra). 

At Ferry Meadows, the river valley was still misty when I arrived, but this dissipated quickly leaving a veil of cloud blocking out the sun, even though there was blue sky straight above me.

The Ash leaves have dropped now, but the Pedunculate Oak have turned to a beautiful bronze, and they really stand out in the riverside woods.
