Portel Priorities

Spent most of the day helping Ermelinda and Cecílio's son and partner move from their rented flat in Vidigueira to their brand new house in Portel. It's an amazing two-storey house, full of light and lights and gorgeous bathrooms (three of them), and all mod cons, including outside blinds in all windows, operated by switches, but...

... this is the view that you can't see from anywhere in the house; I climbed up on a stepladder in their back patio to take this in the late afternoon light as I was sweeping the outside. Just goes to show that people have different priorities, I guess.

Gratefuls:
- getting a good workout, carrying things down two winding flights of stairs, and then into the house, and then sweeping and vacuuming
- a walk around the 13th C castle on the way there; although it's only an hour away and we've often driven past, we´d never been up to look
