For those in peril on the sea....

The Peterhead fishermen's memorial was commissioned as a millennium project by our local paper, the Buchanie. It was funded by public subscription and unveiled in August 2001 by the Princess Royal. It sits in a prominent position overlooking Peterhead bay, a fitting testament to generations of fishing families and to "all who labour with courage and skill to harvest the perilous sea."
