Meeting the author

I am a huge fan of Tracy Chevalier's books, and was so lucky that she came to the school where I work to talk about her new book "The Last Railroad", and to read from it. She was a fascinating and engaging speaker and I am looking forward to getting stuck into the book.
The school is a Quaker school and I was particularly fascinated as the main character in the book is a Quaker, so her thoughts and descriptions of silence and Meeting were particularly evocative.
