The Long Flower....

...growing in the gravel by some 'plant pots' in a car park in the local town.

The 'black' background is old tyres they've used as plant pots, literally. They've stacked three tyres on top of each other and used them as a big pot. Planted and maintained by volunteers, the local businesses I understand pay at least in part for the flowers.

The last time I was lucky enough to speak to a volunteer doing it, she explained that they grew some of the flowers themselves, and transplanted them here :-)
