Dupuytren's contracture

Heavy rain this morning, but got a few things ticked off from the task list. That included getting an appointment at the walk-in clinic at the GP surgery to see about a finger that has gotten crooked over the last three months. (And before anyone asks, yes, it is the whole finger.) Saw a nurse practitioner who diagnosed Dupuytren's contracture, which is (a) progressive and (b) not really suitable for surgical intervention until I can reliably use my finger as a money-clip. Hey-ho - another indication of creeping corporeal decline.
I suppose I should say that this is mildly annoying as a diagnosis, not something to particularly harsh my mellow. The irritating thing is the loss of a power grip on my left hand and occasional mild discomfort.
H had a morning out with her befriender, which is welcome for both she and me.
I'm making progress with Devi Sridhar's excellent bok Preventable, which has, amusingly, got the BBC in trouble. Public health practitioners cannot be effective if they will not speak truth to power.
Photos today are from a walk around my regular 6km loop after the rain passed over us and the skies cleared. Delighted to see a lady down the glen who hadn't been around for some months after a fall, but she's back on her feet and walking her dugs again.
The extra is the Dug Loch.
