Feast of the Ascension

Better known in Germany as Father's Day or Mens Day. Wiki gives a somewhat false picture saying it only happens north of the Weißwurst (veal sausage) Equator i.e. Germany's north above Bavaria. Wiki states:"Many men use this holiday as an opportunity to get drunk" Here they are right BUT not all - I spent Fathers Day in 1990 with Nigel locked away in a monastry to learn some of the things you can do with water (and a handful of ingredients).
Inspired by Jankerman, my Blip today is mowing the very wet horse pasture, hence the buttercups. While OK in hay, fresh buttercups are mildly toxic and cause at least "the runs". However the horses don't tend to eat it but it smothers the grass that is there. Hence having to do away with the pretty colour. If the horses are lucky, the chalk & nitrogen spread at full moon will help.
