June Gloom

Another photo from down by the farm! I need some variety in my photography...

Okay, it's not June, and today wasn't exactly gloomy - we had another perfect sunny late Autumn day - but I felt pretty gloomy. I overslept and proceeded to do literally nothing with my day except take my camera for a walk. I hate those days where you have nothing to do and so you do nothing. It leaves me feeling mopey and sorry for myself.

My walk was quite lovely, with all the sunshine and the warm breeze and the gold leaves. I got some quite interesting pictures of random things I found along the way - a toaster on the riverbank, a beret and a candle next to each other and a baby's bootie in a bush. I'd love to know the story behind the beret and the candle, that was a bizarre one!

I used my sunglasses as a filter for this one, and although you can see the frame across it I think that actually adds to the picture. It looks like a slightly dodgy old film picture that's been tucked inside a book for a while. Quite pleased with this one! It appeals to my inner hipster...
