Poppies, Menorca

Up again for sunrise, I took a number of shots on the coast but then decided to walk inland. The previous day we'd passed a number of small paddocks with wild flowers growing in the uncultivated soil.

Unfortunately , the sun decided to hide after the brief dawn blast. I was beginning to despair until a brief shaft of sunlight backlit this poppy.

I'm sorry I can't comment much on your blips at the moment. I don't feel confident to risk roaming data charges and the wifi in the hotel is patchy (I have to sit on the balcony and twist the iPad back and forth in the hope of picking up a signal).
