The UFO has Landed

We're in Canberra for Rana to attend meetings at the Academy of Science. Which meets in the futuristic Shine Dome, built in 1959 to a design by architect Roy Grounds. The building is one of seven projects the Royal Australian Institute of Architects has nominated to the World Register of Significant Twentieth Century Architecture.

Canberrans, living in a city brimming with foreign embassy buildings, sometimes refer to it as 'the Martian Embassy'.
