Heading north

Start of a long weekend in Edinburgh. I was lucky to go a day early my train a mere 35 minutes delayed. Friends travelling on Friday spent up to 5 hours standing in the cold at Newcastle - see extra of the Tyne bridges - before being bundled into taxis… yes it was very wet! Main pic is detail of the pillars in Waverley station - which I love and have spent hours studying whilst waiting for (delayed) trains. I still love train travel btw!
