Crane Sunday

Almost no rain today (until now).
In the afternoon I heard cranes - so good! The main photo shows the first flock after it had been circling over the house for a while - blipped from the balcony. They just went back to their normal formation and flew off when I pressed the shutter.

In the extra a hint of blue sky and more cranes.

Several other flocks spotted after them! Not huge numbers like I saw just one time years ago, but still many more than I'm used to. Not too many take the route down south over our village - the word about the Kranichwoog (crane pond) still hasn't spread at Crane's.

Made my day. Besides knitting not much more done today.
