Clouds over the Cotswolds

After a glorious day yesterday, today was a very different thing. Much windier, more overcast and heavy showers at times. After a meeting, we stopped on our way back across the Cotswold hills and I managed to take this picture of the impending weather, which was just as well as the rain lashed down before we got home.

I really liked the contrasts between the menacing clouds, the new green leaves on the trees at either edge of the picture and the lasting solidity of the typical stone walls of this area. Some things change quickly, other things come and go with the seasons and still other things endure for a long time.

It just a little reminder to me that in all the changing stages of life one thing is sure - God's love endures for ever.
