Bacon Sarnies!

Blue skies, gentle breeze and fantastic visibility made for a great trip today as I flew to Compton Abbas airfield, where David (see picture) and I (see reflection in his glasses) enjoyed bacon sarnies and chips before flying back to base again.

Yes, it was a long way to go for lunch, but it was more about the journey than the destination. Just as in life the journey is important so today we had to navigate a safe course to avoid active danger areas. GPS, a current aeronautical chart and good navigation skills were were all utilised to keep us safe.

Reminds me of a verse from the book of Proverbs in the Bible which says

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
