A Day to Remember

Today is the last day of the 2022 F1 Grand Prix season with Max Verstappen and the Red Bull Team triumphant.  However, a very good year for our local lad from King's Lynn, George Russell who finished 4th in the World Driver's Championship in his first year driving for the Mercedes team.  We have high hopes for him and our brilliant Lewis Hamilton next season.

Today is also the start of the Football World Cup from Qatar.  I'm not a football fan, but I wish England & Wales the very best of luck in the competition.  M loves football and all the daily matches are recorded in our shared diary.  He won't watch them all, but in the spirit of 'if you can't beat them, join them' I've suggested that we complete our wall chart with all the results throughout the tournament.

However, more important than both of those is the fact that we are celebrating our 7th anniversary since moving to Norfolk.  We looked back at my diary entry from this day in 2015 and have reminded ourselves just how much we've changed the house and garden since then.  My main blip is of our lounge now and in the extra is how it looked when the previous owners lived here (taken by the estate agent).  I think you'll agree that we needed a degree of imagination to try and imagine how we could make the room feel cosy. This included adding curtains, some colour, a fireplace and having the decorative artex removed.

We're so happy living here in North Norfolk and consider moving here one of the best decisions we've made (apart from getting married of course)!
