Open shutter

I started the weekend with a jolly good deep clean of the bathroom. My knee is much improved following my fall a couple of week ago but still not completely right. Scrubbing the floor involved some complicated Pilates to keep my weight on one knee and one hand whilst twirling the floor cloth around. Somehow the job got done but it would have been a sight if you were a fly on the wall.

After lunch I met a friend for a walk. We were out and about for just a bit less than two hours and explored some footpaths that were new to me. It was a very pleasant afternoon and I enjoyed some new curiosities including a large house with a public footpath through the garden. I snuck a quick photograph of one of their shuttered windows that seemed appropriate for Derelict Sunday.

We are on episode 5 of the Crown. It's a guilty pleasure, akin to eating chocolate Hobnobs.
