On The Cards

My blipfoto cards arrived today! I'm pleased with them. They will be useful to give out when I am trying to explain to an unbeliever what it is all about. I mainly wanted them for handing out when I do my camera club presentation about blip, though that isn't until March next year.

In the extras a couple of images from Lacock Abbey NT yesterday. There is an exhibition running called Plastic Soup, with photos by Mandy Barker created to raise awareness of marine plastic pollution (second extra). I would have liked some info on how she took the photos.

It was a bit disappointing that the Courtyard Cafe was closed, and there was not much choice of food at the Stables Cafe, and only temporary loos. The abbey rooms were closed too. After the visit we decided to drive on to the Leekes department store in Melksham. We were sure they would have a cafe for an afternoon drink. They did, but it closed at 4pm. Oh well.

I watched Pompey yesterday evening. They were pretty uninspiring. They only manged to draw again, 0-0, with their first shot on target coming after 94 minutes. As I think Brian Clough once said, the team on paper is pretty good, unfortunately the match is played on grass.

Oh, in other news I won the eBay auction for the modem router I was after. I watched the last minute or so. It looked as though I was going to get it pretty cheaply, but as I expected someone came in with a higher bid with just seconds to go. Luckily my maximum bid was higher, so I won. I just hope it works now and gives faster and more stable broadband.
