a rich image

Treme

A diversion from our usual photo club cafe sessions, ten of us met at the local art museum to photograph images representing the theme "Art is Part of the Picture".  One of the exhibits includes tribal costumes from the outstanding tv series, Treme.  Written about the post Katrina time in New Orleans, the chief of one of the local tribes made (with his tribe) these costumes for the annual Mardi Gras festivities.

In the background, a film is showing the process.  The face is of the chief who actually wore the costume in the show.

The costumes were actually designed by a Wilmington, NC native, Alonzso Wilson.

Extra:  Paul, tripod in hand reading some of the exhibit info.

Afterwards, we all enjoyed lunch at the CAM Cafe.
