Our favourite beech avenue

Thank you so very much for all your congratulations yesterday on the birth of Madison in California on Tuesday. She’s a gem isn’t she? We’ve had many more photos and video snippets today. Mum and baby are doing well and dad is bearing up well.

Mum and baby spent their first night at home last night. All went well. Madison had her first bath and was fast asleep when her head was being washed. I dare say there will be more photos from over the pond during the next few days.

We’re being kept well informed by mum, dad and the Californian grandparents who are doing sterling work in supporting the family. If we can’t be there ourselves we know they’re there for us as well.

Early rain gave way to a cooler, sunny day as we walked into town through Mote Park and along this splendid avenue of beech trees which have featured regularly on blip over the years.
