Tree tomato

Where we are staying, the breakfast offering is very pleasant. The row of jams includes tree tomato, which is a new one on me. Michelle confirmed that it’s ‘a red fruit that looks like an egg’. In the interest of doing wild things now I am 40, I plunged in and enjoyed some tree tomato on toast.

In the afternoon we had a tour of the coffee farm which is part of the estate where we’re staying. It’s a beautiful and relaxing part of the world and we’re relieved to have made a good choice for this mini-break. I feel quite tired and frail and wonder if it’s a) now being 40 or b) because I’ve picked up some lurgy on the long train journey.
