Drip
The dreich is back today. I felt like I did nowt yesterday so made the effort to get my coat on and go for a walk at lunchtime. Not the most exicting trip, but I did a there-and-back-again wander to the milk vending machine in the next village. It makes a cracking hot chocolate for when you get back.
I've missed the best of the autumn colours with being busy at work and home, but the rain did make for some good close up shots of the foliage today.
Listened to an interesting podcast at lunch, it's a BBC one called Life Changing which interviews normal people about extraordinary things that have happened to them. This one was a woman who saved a man's life then inadvertantly caused the break-up of his marriage in an off-hand comment to his colleague after the event and the story just kept on getting wilder and wilder. I won't spoil it, except to say there was a happy ending. Worth a listen!
Also realised that I think my podcast app has been downloading at maybe around 1.1 speed. Last night I was putting clothes away and got through an hours worth of podcasts. I thought it odd that it had taken so long just to deal with the washing. Today it was a bit more obvious with some very fast music going on in the background. It's weirdly not noticeable just when the talky bit is on. Wow, this was such an exciting post.
