Memorial Garden
Hubby and I were busy today. While I was getting things around the house straight, hubby started on gathering some of our tax data. The 2023 Turbo Tax software is now available. We had several places to go. I had a list of my remaining stocking stuffers and our angel tree donations to pick up. We needed groceries from the Commissary and other shops. While on base, we drove past this stand of trees that were planted in memory of the Columbia space shuttle crew who perished in February 2003. Many of the U.S. astronauts were trained at our Patuxent River Navy Test Pilot School. Those jets can surely be impressive when they pass overhead. I think all but the most perishable items for our WV trip have been bought. My sister will pick up the packed cooler tomorrow. The stores were unusually crowded and the lines were terribly long. We did not get home until late afternoon and finished my tortilla soup for lunch. Hubby has a meeting tonight. We will probably be satisfied with a sandwich. I have a to do list to tackle to be prepared for the weekend. But a short nap may take precedence. Hope your day was as productive. Thanks for dropping by and leaving hearts, stars and sweet comments. Sure glad they figured out the missile that went into Poland did not belong to Russia. Things could get out of hand very quickly. Stay safe and healthy. “On a standard space shuttle crew, two of the astronauts have a test pilot background - the commander and the pilot”. - Sally Ride
