It was here that the Americans attacked Upper Canada in 1812.
The Church , built in 1810, overlooks the Niagara River and the escarpment that the Americans scaled. The extra shows the United States as it is now.
The British leader, General Sir Isaac Brock, was killed in the battle, but the British ultimately prevailed in the war.
My 95 year old aunt lives yards from the Church in what was once a stone block holding compound .
